SUMMARY:Anti-Racism for Organizers
DESCRIPTION:Join the Future Ground Network community in a collective learning process to address the colonial and racist histories of environmental movements and how we can fight those legacies to build safer and anti-racist spaces in our organizing. \nIn this workshop (session 1 of 4)\, participants will understand the roots of systemic racism\, settler colonialism and anti-Blackness\, and begin to unpack how they participate in these systems. We will draw connections between the climate crisis and systems of structural oppression\, clearly making links between them. In the workshop\, we will use breakout groups to define the impacts of structural harm\, and discuss how we participate in these systems. \nAlso available Monday June 28\, 5-6:30 pm; Wednesday June 30\, 4-5:30 pm\, Monday July 5\, 4:30 – 6 pm
