Engaging Women on Climate Workshop

June 23 @ 10:00 am

Across the political spectrum women consistently show up as more concerned, more motivated and more ready to act on climate than other audiences, yet we often neglect to design communications and campaigns with women in mind.

This workshop dives into the theory and practice of engaging women on climate. We will talk with leading researchers in Canada and the US, and campaigners behind Science Moms, Vote Like a Madre and Talk Climate to Me will share insights, strategies and successful tactics.

June 23 @ 12 – 3:45 pm EST

Key topics and takeaways:

  • An analysis of how women are similar and different from other audiences, including insights into mothers, women voters, conservative women, women of colour, and non-environmentalists.
  • Tips on how to design campaigns with women in mind
  • Insights into how women choose and use media
  • New relationships with practitioners working in similar areas

This workshop is open to all who are interested and all gender identities. Space is limited. Up to two people per organization may attend. You will be joined by other senior communications strategists, campaign and policy directors. Engaging Women on Climate Change has been made possible through the generous support of the Clean Economy Fund.

Full workshop schedule and speaker lineup to come.
